The Person Behind Golden Gears

Golden Gears Automotive is the result of founder Sam Nasios’ lifelong passion for fixing things. From an early age, Sam loved taking things apart and figuring out how they worked. This passion naturally led him into the world of auto repair, where he honed his skills working at independent auto repair shops. However, Sam always dreamed of being his own boss and creating a shop that combined expert workmanship with genuine, customer-first service. In 1990, that dream became a reality with the opening of Golden Gears Automotive.

Sam is not only passionate about auto repair—he also values giving back to his community. He dedicates much of his time to volunteering at his local church and supporting various community outreach programs in the Rockville area. When he's not at the shop or volunteering, Sam enjoys spending time with friends and creating meaningful connections. Sam feels incredibly fortunate to do what he loves every day.
